Korean Farmers Released

Actor Ahn Sung-ki, Lee Young-ae and Lee Byung-heon have been released from jail, after an innocent judgment held by a Hong Kong court. Before the building of the latest WTO ministerial meeting, violent clashes occurred between Korean protesters and Hong Kong police, when the farmers attempted to convey their anti-globalization messages to the meeting. In the meeting, there are hundreds of protesters came from the world to show their opposition to the globalization progress. Around 1000 militant protesters against the World Trade Organisation ministerial meeting were arrested on December 17 in a confrontation with police. After arrested, Three actors show their regrets to the conflict with police and send a petition to Hong Kong government and police for immediate release of these protesters. Other three Anti-WTO protestors remained charged, 11 released and millions of farmers prisoners of the WTO policies.
