China Property Law

Now, China's congress, the National People's Congress will open it
annual session in Sunday. The 3000 delegates come from all China. Most
of them are local leaders and other celebrities. The National People's
Congress is largely powerless, but the 10-day meeting will pass some
important law and endorse policies which have decided by CCP leaders.

It is estimated to Labor Contract Law and other laws will be submitted
to NPC for voting, and in most circumstances, the Congress will pass
them. However, another important law, the property law (Chinese:
Wuquan Fa) is not in list, because of protest and critics by a
professor in Peking University. The opposed reason is that the
property law draft breaks china's constitution and basic socialism
doctrine. Outside analysts estimate rising discontentment to radical
privatization in several years is in fact the real cause. It is
alleged the purpose of the property law draft is to protect the rich
and make the privatization legal.

It is a heavy strike to the progress of enacting china's civil code.
